GRAYMERE
COUNTRY CLUB
A HISTORY SPANNING 100 YEARS - AND COUNTING
Graymere is proud of its history as an enduring part of Maury County and the surrounding communities. What began as the purchase of 106 acres from the estate of John M. Gray of "Graymere Farms" in 1924 has grown to more than 140 acres, encompassing the Graymere Country Club golf course, clubhouse, pool area, and tennis courts.

Our first golf tournament was held in 1925, as was our first Christmas Dinner Dance in the clubhouse, an event that is still going strong today. 1938 marked the year of the first hole-in-ones, with two gentlemen achieving the honor.

In 1943, the first clubhouse burned to the ground in one hour. Plans were made to rebuild, but due to a materials shortage caused by World War II, the clubhouse had to be redesigned on a smaller scale. In the late 1990s, the board voted to tear down the second clubhouse and build a third, larger one, which was completed in April 1999.

In August 2008, the lake and paved golf cart paths were completed. June 8, 2014, marked the 90th anniversary of Graymere Country Club, and June 8 of this year marked our prestigious 100-year anniversary.
A PRESTIGIOUS HONOR
With a history reaching back more than 100 years, Graymere ranks as one of the first 500 country clubs in the United States of America. This honor serves not only as a shining legacy for the club but also for its members and for the community.

While the Board of Directors seeks to continue the traditions and legacy of the club, they also strive to create a balance of modernity, in terms of amenities, activities, and updates to the clubhouse, golf course, and pool area.

We believe this balance is important to both our current and future members.
