NIC JONES, CS
GENERAL MANAGER
Nic joins us at Graymere Country Club with over 25 years of hospitality experience spanning hotels, country clubs, restaurants, wineries, and farms. He earned his culinary degree from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Los Angeles in 2001 and completed the Accelerated Wine and Beverage Program at The Culinary Institute of America at Greystone in 2012. In 2013, he achieved his Certified Sommelier credentials through the Court of Master Sommeliers. Since graduating from culinary school in 2001, Nic has worked extensively across the country, collaborating with some of the world’s most celebrated chefs and restaurateurs, including Wolfgang Puck of Spago, Hollywood, and Stephen Barber of Farmstead, Napa Valley. In 2021, after relocating to Tennessee, Nic founded Hen House Hospitality. He served as the Director of Operations, overseeing the company’s farm-to-table restaurant, food truck, catering company, and restaurant consulting division. Nic and his wife, Jada, have been married for nearly four years and reside in Columbia with their son, Atlas.

BRYAN COMBITHS, PGA
HEAD GOLF PROFESSIONAL
Bryan, our Head Golf Professional since April 2021, has a rich golfing background. Before joining Graymere, he served as the Head Golf Professional at Five Oaks Golf and Country Club in Lebanon, Tennessee, from 2003 to 2021. Bryan is a Class A PGA Golf Professional and resides in Spring Hill, Tennessee, with his wife, Teresa, who works for TriStar Bank. He has two daughters: Maddie, a senior at the University of Tennessee, and McKenzie, a dental assistant and freshman at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.

TIM TAYLOR
GOLF COURSE SUPERINTENDENT
Tim Taylor, a “cornhusker” from the University of Nebraska, has been dedicated to the club for over two decades. In addition to his role as the Greens Manager of the club’s 18-hole golf course, Tim also served as the interim clubhouse manager for six years. Before joining Graymere, Tim had a distinguished career as the superintendent of Richland Country Club for 15 years. In his free time, Tim enjoys traveling and has a daughter and an Australian Shepherd.

DANIEL GROTHER
CHEF DE CUISINE
With over twenty years of culinary experience, Daniel is passionate about providing exceptional dining at Graymere. Originally from Louisiana, he began his career as a second chef before moving to Tennessee, where he has crafted cuisine at several esteemed establishments. Throughout his career, Daniel has adhered to a simple philosophy: to bring joy to people through excellent food. His deep respect for tradition, paired with a commitment to quality and innovation, continues to enhance the dining experience for both members and guests at Graymere Country Club.

GEORGIA AUSTIN
DINING ROOM MANAGER
With over a decade of experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry, Georgia brings strong leadership, warmth, and a genuine commitment to member satisfaction in her role. She joined the Graymere family in 2021 and quickly advanced through several key positions, thanks to her dedication and strong work ethic. Georgia takes pride in building meaningful relationships and ensuring that every dining experience reflects the club’s longstanding tradition of excellence.

ISSAC LONGFOOT
SOUS CHEF
With nearly a decade of experience in the culinary industry, Issac brings both creativity and enthusiasm to the kitchen. He started his career at the age of fourteen as a dishwasher and quickly worked his way up, gaining hands-on experience and a deep appreciation for the art of cooking. Throughout his journey, he refined his skills in several kitchens and earned a bronze medal at an American Culinary Federation competition in Ohio.

RITA SMITH
CONTROLLER
Rita Smith is Graymere’s longest-serving employee, having worked at the club since 1990. She graduated summa cum laude from Southwestern High School in Detroit. In addition to her accounting expertise, Rita’s long tenure at the club has provided her with invaluable insights and knowledge, which benefit the board and staff by offering a historical perspective on club operations. Although she was raised in Michigan, Rita was born in Humphries County and later returned to Middle Tennessee to raise her son. She is also a proud grandmother to her grand-dog, Jinx, a corgi.

JENN BURNETT
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
With 19 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Jenn has earned a reputation as a "Jenn of all trades," able to adapt to any situation with skill and humor. At Graymere, she supports various club operations, including accounts receivable, administration, and memberships, ensuring that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. Renowned for making even the busiest days enjoyable, she thrives on creating a welcoming environment for members. Jenn combines a strong work ethic with a genuine passion for people and the overall hospitality experience.

GROUNDSKEEPING CREW
The turfgrass, groundskeeping, and maintenance crew at GCC is responsible for keeping our golf course looking beautiful, and they certainly deliver! This dedicated team arrives early each day to care for the greens, the driving range, the lovely landscaping, and all the equipment, along with everything else in between. When you encounter them on the course, you'll be greeted with smiles, as they bring joy to the experience and help make Graymere a wonderful place to visit. Be sure to say hello and give each staff member a big "thank you" the next time you see them!
